Smart waste management for Industry 4.0
CERTH experience the power of IDS technology in action with the first embryonic Data Space launched in 2019 in Greece within the EU-funded COMPOSITION project. Data Space was designed to collect data from fill-level IoT sensors provided by the clients of a waste management company, which the waste company then used to monitor the fill level of their customers’ bins. To ensure secure and trustworthy data sharing, IDS Trusted Connectors were used to set up the Data Space. This successful implementation showcases the potential of IDS technology in creating innovative solutions for real-world challenges, empowering data-driven solutions and revolutionizing the way information is managed and utilized.
Big Data for factories
As part of the BOOST 4.0 project, CERTH successfully established a dedicated Data Space for Philips Drachten in 2020-2021. This innovative endeavor aimed to seamlessly connect Philips’ Molding Machines with advanced analytic tools and services for efficient anomaly detection. Leveraging IDS Trusted Connectors compatible with the MQTT protocol, CERTH tailored a solution that perfectly aligned with the specific requirements of the scenario. Experience the convergence of cutting-edge technologies and industrial excellence, as we demonstrate the transformative potential of IDS in optimizing manufacturing processes.
A manufacturing Data Space for offset printing domain
Within the framework of the AIREGIO project’s Open Call Experiment, CERTH developed and deployed the innovative Pressious Data Space from 2022 to 2023.This Data Space serves as a seamless connection between Pressious, a leading printing company, and CERTH along with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Functioning as a Data Provider, Pressious can publish their production data, which is then utilized by the other two stakeholders, acting as Data Consumers, to offer valuable analytic services. The Data Space unlocks the collaborative power of IDS Dataspace Connectors and IDS Broker technology fostering collaboration and innovation.
Cognitive Services, Tools and Apps specifically for Common Data spaces of Ports
For the GATEKEEPER project CERTH is supporting health data transactions through the Gatekeeper Trust Authority (GTA) and Marketplace. Clinical organisations sharing HL7/FHIR data with AI service developers.
IDS Dataspace Connectors are used. In particular, the IDS Dataspace Connector has been extended with Usage for Specific Purposes Usage Policy, after co-creation sessions with the project pilots. IDS Clearing House is used to keep an audit log of data transactions and IDS Data Apps are being explored for integrating a FHIR anonymization capabilities.
