The IDSA Hub Greece is part of a global mission to shape the future of the digital economy. Through the secure and sovereign International Data Spaces (IDS), we empower Greek organizations to unlock the full potential of their data and thrive in a data-driven world.
IDSA Hub Greece
IDSA Hub Greece facilitated by Centre for Research and Technology Hellas(CERTH). CERTH is one of the most important Research Centers in Greece. CERTH combines its unique research facilities and high qualified research personnel, to transform scientific knowledge into innovative technological applications, aiming to strength the national economy and respond to the needs of society at national and international level.
The IDSA Hub Greece strives to advance the principles of data sovereignty, data spaces, and IDS technology within Greece. It works actively with the IDSA on several initiatives, including building and maintaining relationships with international stakeholders, and provides support to Greek companies to enhance their participation in the global data economy.

What are data spaces?
Data spaces are a groundbreaking approach to data sharing that contrast with the traditional, limited approach of sharing data between a select group of companies on centralized platforms and closed networks. Data spaces are flexible, open, and regulated by shared principles and standards, and they can scale easily as long as these principles are respected and agreed upon. To realize data sharing in data spaces, trustworthy technology is necessary, and IDSA aims to create a data sharing standard that ensures data sovereignty and interoperability in and between data spaces. Data spaces don’t require physical data integration but support distributed data stores, and their core components are data connectors, identity providers, vocabulary providers, app stores, and metadata brokers. The data space framework has already become the de facto standard and is revolutionizing the way business is conducted.
